Luxtec becomes Lumenpulse

Dear clients,

It is with great pride that we announce that Luxtec will continue its daily operations under the Lumenpulse name. This is an important milestone for our company, which has over 40 years of history in Quebec.

40 years of history...

Founded in 1976, over the next twenty years Luxtec established itself at the forefront of the industry in eastern Quebec, until it was purchased by François-Xavier Souvay in 1999. Following the change of ownership, and the opening of its Montreal offices in 2001, Luxtec quickly became a leading company in the lighting industry.

It’s worth noting that Lumenpulse’s beginnings, including the hiring of its first employees and the design of the first product families, took root at Luxtec in 2006. Since its inception, Lumenpulse’s objective has been to become the world leader in high-performance, architectural, specification-grade LED lighting solutions. We are very proud to tell you that we are well on our way, with thousands of high-profile projects in Quebec and abroad, including the Place Jacques Cartier and the Vélocité des Lieux in Montreal; the Videotron Centre and Grand Theatre de Quebec in Quebec City; the Muider Castle in Holland; the Caille bridges in France; Cincinnati City Hall in Cincinnati, Ohio; and the Train World railway museum in Belgium.

For 40 years, the Luxtec name has stood tall in the specification market in Quebec. Today, however, we begin a new chapter, and adopting the Lumenpulse name for the Quebec market is a natural evolution for our company.

Lumenpulse currently addresses more than 80% of your projects’ lighting applications, and we are proud to now offer you a full range of our endlessly customizable portfolio of over 500 products. To further develop our technological innovations, we continue to invest in Research and Development (R&D) and grow via strategic acquisitions, including: AlphaLED (UK); SDL Lighting (Quebec); Ariane Controls (Quebec); Exenia (Italy); and Fluxwerx (Vancouver). To complete certain aspects of your projects’ lighting applications, Lumenpulse will maintain business ties with other manufacturers.

We have always placed great importance on our history, and our roots will always be in Quebec. This is the reason why we have established our corporate headquarters and factory in Montreal, with 300 of our 600 global employees in Quebec. To continue to serve you well, the teams in Montreal and Quebec City, which you have worked with for years, will remain intact.

Thank you for the support and confidence, and most of all, thank you for 40 outstanding years of partnership.

We will continue to value our past, while firmly looking towards the future. This is an important step, but it is only the beginning. Stay tuned.
